Connect with your UCM friends and meet new ones from other campuses while experiencing student-led worship, inspiring speakers, thought-provoking group discussions. Come ready to dive deep into the topic of "Realigning with God's Heart in a Time of Drift", while having plenty of fun and physical activity along the way. Whether you're looking to unwind or grow spiritually, this weekend promises that you will "emerge" refreshed and spirit-empowered for campus life!

ROOM ARRANGEMENTS

At registration, you will be asked if you have a preference for who you would like to stay with for the retreat. Please note this is a preference and we can’t guarantee you will be staying with the individual/individual’s you include.


WHAT TO BRING

Kaarina Hsieh

Lead Pastor at Parkway Forest Community Church (Toronto, ON)

Theme: Realign with God’s Heart in a Time of Drift

Rev. Kaarina Hsieh has served actively in pastoral ministries for over 30 years in a variety of contexts. For nearly 18 years, she served on faculty and is the former Dean of Students at Tyndale Seminary. There she gave oversight to Student Development and Chapel ministries and her particular areas of teaching foci at the Seminary were Youth and Family Ministries, Gospel, Church and Culture and in areas of Spiritual Formation. She recently served as Interim Academic Dean for Masters College during their transition to becoming MCS/Horizon. She continues to serve as Adjunct Faculty for both Tyndale Seminary as well as Master’s Seminary.

Since 2012 Kaarina has served as Lead Pastor of Parkway Forest Community Church located in North York (Toronto). Parkway Forest Community Church is a dynamic, multi-cultural, age and socio-economically diverse church that is always seeking to build bridges into the community, finding ways to love the city to Jesus. Kaarina is honoured to be serving on the General Executive of the National Leadership of the PAOC for her second term and is a committed and active member of the Fellowship. She has served on the Board of Directors for Youth Unlimited GTA since 2020 where she continues to champion for the spiritual growth and health of youth and their families to greater wholeness in Christ.

Kaarina and her husband Wayne live in, love and serve the community they’ve been called to with great joy, gratitude for the call and a deep sense of God’s Kingdom purposes.
