Meet Our 4 New Apprentices (2026-2027)

📚 Meet Our 4 New Apprentices

Today marks an exciting milestone for UCM: our four new Apprentices are officially deployed! After months of preparation, fundraising, training, and prayer, Benjamin, Megan, Luke, and Alissa are beginning their year of full-time ministry with UCM, serving on campus alongside experienced staff.

The UCM Apprenticeship is a one-year, full-time, fundraised program for graduates who are passionate about campus ministry. Apprentices serve as members of our ministry teams while receiving comprehensive training in theology, spiritual formation, and practical campus ministry skills.

The program is intentionally designed around three areas of formation:

  • 📚 Head — Theological Training: Through readings, assignments, and cohort discussions, Apprentices develop greater theological depth.

  • ❤️ Heart — Spiritual Formation: Through mentoring, reflection, retreats, and experiential learning, Apprentices grow in spiritual maturity and learn to integrate their faith into every area of life.

  • 🙌 Hands — Campus Ministry Skills: Through discipleship, evangelism, outreach, worship, and community gatherings, Apprentices gain practical experience serving students and sharing the gospel on campus.

I’m excited to walk alongside Benjamin, Megan, Luke, and Alissa this year as they grow in their head, heart, and hands and discover how God is calling them to serve His kingdom.

Each of our Apprentices brings a unique personality, set of gifts, and passion for Jesus to their campus. Here’s a chance to get to know them a little better!

🙏 Prayer Requests

  1. 🌱 Our Four New Apprentices. Please pray for Benjamin, Megan, Luke, and Alissa as they officially begin their year of ministry. Pray that God would use this year to deepen their relationship with Jesus, develop their gifts, and equip them to become faithful disciple-makers and campus ministers. Pray especially for grace as they adjust to the rhythms and responsibilities of ministry.

  2. 🛠️ Training and Formation. Much of my fall will be spent teaching and training our Apprentices in biblical exegesis, discipleship, evangelism, and the practical skills of campus ministry. Please pray for wisdom as I lead and teach them, and that what they learn would move beyond the classroom and become deeply rooted in their lives and ministry.

  3. 🌾 Open Doors for New Workers. This September, I have the opportunity to connect with students at a ministry expo at Summit Pacific College. Please pray that God would open doors and bring people across our path who are being called to campus ministry. We continue to ask the Lord of the harvest to send more workers into the university campuses of BC.
