Because of You: Our 2025 Impact
This year 2025 marked my third year as UCM’s Regional Coordinator, overseeing 7 thriving campus ministries across B.C. and leading a dedicated team of 18 campus workers. This year was one of both continuity and renewal, as our teams grew in strength and unity.
NEW CAMPUS WORKERS – We were thrilled to welcome three new team members: Connor Block (Apprentice, UBC Vancouver), Josh Wilton (Assistant, UVic Victoria), and Maureen Port (Assistant, BCIT Burnaby). While we also said goodbye to four valued workers—Hanna, Justin, Dani, and Kristen—we’re deeply grateful for the fresh energy these new leaders bring, strengthening our capacity to serve students and proclaim Jesus on campus.
MINISTRY HEALTH – This year, I focused on strengthening stability and vitality across our ministries. Because of transitions, I stepped in to oversee our UFV and UVic campuses, training student leaders and managing campus finances. I also visited every UCM campus—speaking, training, and encouraging our leaders and students—and organized a multi-campus photo shoot to refresh promotional materials. These efforts continue to nurture healthy, sustainable ministry environments where staff and students can thrive.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT – We continue to invest deeply in developing strong, Spirit-led leaders. The Emerge Retreat in January drew 235 students—our largest gathering yet—while Campus Leads Day in October created space for collaboration and strategic planning. In December, the UCM Campus Workers Gathering brought our full provincial team together for vision alignment and encouragement. Each event strengthened relationships, fostered unity, and equipped our team to lead with clarity and confidence.
MULTIPLICATION – Raising up new workers remains at the heart of our mission through our Campus Ministry Apprenticeship, our key pathway for developing future leaders. This summer, I revised our curriculum to reflect UCM’s core values and added campus-specific modules. I also promoted campus ministry at Bible colleges and youth worker gatherings, including speaking at Summit Pacific College in September.
Looking ahead to 2026, I’m encouraged by God’s faithfulness and the dedication of our campus teams. Thank you for your prayers and partnership as we help students encounter Jesus on campus.
